Thinking about God…

Eventually one must grow up. One must stop thinking of God in anthropomorphic terms- the “Great, all powerful, gray-bearded sky fairy”- and start thinking of him/her/it/they in the most abstract, unthinkable, unknowable thing our tiny little minds can possibly imagine. I like to think of Him as some sort of universal “consciousness field” ie. one, if not *the* fundamental fields our universe is built on. But even that is a crude caricature, even if it was proved partially correct. There’s a reason why they say He “Passeth all understanding”, yet we refuse to actually believe it.
