I draw large “Meditation Pieces” as part of a daily contemplation practice.

That’s all I do right now, that’s it, that’s your lot.

A central idea to the work is that all pieces look almost identical from across the room, but are individually very different close up. A metaphor for the human condition.

The pieces explore the tension between the “precision” of fine line ink drawing and the “anarchy” of abstraction.

No shortcuts: All pieces are done entirely by myself, no assistants, every pen stroke my own. No prints, no “entry level” offerings, no smaller drawings, except the occasional sketch I give to old friends.

“Credo quia absurdum”. I believe, because it’s absurd.
