Postcard sent to Ewan McIntosh , a buddy from the early blogging days, now living in Edinburgh. He was known back then as an early innovator in the education space, and has done very well with it since then.

“Since 1997 I’ve drawn thousands of “Hughcards” [cartoons drawn on the backs of business card], just to give me something to do while sitting at the bar. Over time they have become increasingly religious and or meditative, over time they became ‘Cathedrals’."

(What is a "Cathedral”?)

A “Cathedral” is a series of x-hundred smaller, business-car “Hughcard” drawings (number per piece varies), forming a single piece under a single pane of glass.

“Cathedral” is a metaphor for a Holy Place, where the spirit goes to be amplified through contemplation.. The pieces are designed to generate a state of contemplation in the viewer.
